Lippert’s breath control easily rivals Caballé and her voice possesses an evenness through every register. I am not sure why I haven’t encountered her before, but I can’t wait to hear more…
• Hans Beirer is simply one of the best Siegfrieds in recorded history. It is a shame that he never got the chance to take this role into the studio.
